Anarkali 2015 DVDRip x264 Malayalam ESubs-ViZNU [P2PDL] 26 One of the most acclaimed films of the year, Anarkali is a love story between two people from vastly different backgrounds. From debutant director Manoj Pahari, to debutant actress Sonika Karnik who plays the lead role, Anarkali is an inspiring tale that gracefully brings together two cultures. The film has won 5 awards across various categories and has also been declared as the 'Best Debut Film' at the International Film Festival, Kerala 2015. It is a very strong movie and it reflects the struggles of this region as well as its people, who live in such difficult conditions. Set in Kampala, Uganda, Anarkali happens to be true to life as director Manoj Pahari set out to shoot this film without any preconceived ideas about what reality is and how it should be portrayed on screen. He decided to go with the flow and capture whatever he could whilst working on this script. The somewhat improvisational style of filmmaking has lent Anarkali an earthy authenticity that keeps the audience engrossed. Set in Uganda amidst the civil war of the 1980s, Anarkali tells the story of a young Muslim girl from Kampala, Salimat (Sonika Karnik) and a Kerala Christian boy from Kuttanad Varghese (Kunchacko Boban). Their unlikely friendship brings out their similarities and dissimilarities. The film received positive reviews from critics. "International Business Times India" rated it 3/5 and said, "Anarkali is a simple tale told in a creative way. The film doesn't explore too much, but it works well. It's easy to see why Pahari was so proud of his work. It's a story told with simple lines and minimalist visuals, but it works." "The Hindu" rated 3.5/5 and said "Anarkali is an entertaining tale which speaks volumes about the enduring bond between two people living in drastically different worlds. Manoj Pahari has done a good job of making this aspirational story believable and relatable, while also creating a mood of hope for all those who believe in love at first sight".
